Adkins, Gene E.

John was raised in Arizona and has lived here nearly his entire life. He received his undergraduate degree in 1991 from the University of California, Berkeley where he double majored in Rhetoric and Social Science with an emphasis in Legal Theory.  He was a member of the NCAA men's swimming team and the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. After graduating, he worked internationally as an educational consultant. He returned to Arizona in 1993 and earned his law degree from the University of Arizona. In law school, he was a member of the Arizona Law Review and served on the National Board of Governors of the American Bar Association, Law Student Division.

John practiced for 10 years with the firm of Robbins & Green, P.A. before forming Sandweg & Ager, P.C. with his longtime friend and partner, Bill Sandweg. The firm primarily represents the victims of catastrophic personal injury and death caused by medical negligence and other wrongful conduct.

John is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court and in all Arizona State and Federal courts. He has tried many cases.  The National Trial Lawyers has listed John as one of the top 100 trial lawyers in Arizona every year since 2007.  He is rated 10/10 by AVVO. He currently serves on the faculty and board of directors of the Arizona College of Trial Advocacy as well as the Arizona State Bar Civil Practice and Procedure Committee.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maricopa County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association.
