Bailey, John Preston

Arthur N. Bagwell focuses his practice on representing individuals and their families through out the southern part of Louisiana. In 1977 Arthur began his practice dedicating himself to representing injured victims. Since 1977 Arthur has secured six and seven figure recoveries for his clients in cases involving automobile collisions, 18 wheeler collisions, road defects, slip and falls, as well as many other cases.

Arthur is active in the community and has served as the Town Attorney for the Town of White Castle since 1992. Arthur has also served as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Iberville Parish Waterworks District No. 3 for many years and in 1988 became the Water District's Attorney. Arthur graduated from Southern Law School in 1977 and was admitted to practice by the Louisiana Supreme Court on October 6, 1977. Arthur also holds a BS in Finance from Louisiana State University.

Arthur is a member of the American Association for Justice, Louisiana Association for Justice, and the Coastal Conservation Association. He has also donated his time to many programs such as the Peoples Law School, as a Sunday School Teacher, an Assistant Baseball Coach for summer youth programs, and has shared with high school students on what it takes to be successful.

Arthur is the husband of Desta Brocksmith, having been married for thirty-five (35) years. He is the father of four (4) sons and four (4) grandchildren. In his spare time, Arthur is an avid salt water and off-shore fisherman.
