Bandre, Michael P.

Mr. Ballou is an Associate with The Nelson Law Firm, LLC. His practice is concentrated in the area of construction defect litigation. Mr. Ballou is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Colorado. He is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations.

Mr. Ballou routinely handles complex construction defect litigation on behalf of homeowners, contractors and subcontractors. He also represents landowners, business owners and individuals in personal injury and premises liability cases.

Prior to joining The Nelson Law Firm, Mr. Ballou was a banking officer and mortgage consultant for First United Bank in Madill, Oklahoma. He developed client relations in the community, while structuring and processing consumer and commercial loans for clients throughout Oklahoma and Texas. Mr. Ballou also originated and serviced conventional and FHA mortgages for first-time and refinancing homebuyers, as well as structuring construction loans for builders and developers.
Mr. Ballou graduated with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2008. In law school, he received many awards, including the Lee B. Thompson, Sr. Scholarship, Benny Schultz Scholarship and Gable & Gotwals Scholarship. Mr. Ballou received Academic Achievement Awards as the top student in Federalism and Client Counseling & Interviewing. He was perennially named to the Dean’s List.

He was also honored as an inductee of The Order of Barristers and The Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Fraternity, Holmes Inn. Mr. Ballou was actively involved in moot court competitions, and was a member of the National Moot Court Team and the Board of Advocates. He also served on the Board of Governors for the Student Bar Association and as Class Representative.

Mr. Ballou was born and raised in Madill, Oklahoma, the horse trailer manufacturing capitol of the world. He now resides in Thornton with his wife Kacie, a Colorado native, and his Cockalier (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Cocker Spaniel mix), Atticus, and their son, Grayson. He enjoys golf and traveling
