ANDREW M. BARKER was admitted to the bar in Indiana in 1989. Born in Indianapolis, Mr. Barker graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN with a B.S. in Finance and his law degree was obtained from Indiana University - Indianapolis. Prior to joining the firm, he served as an intern for the Marion County Prosecutor's Office where he first started participating in jury trials. Mr. Barker is one among the few attorneys in Hamilton County certified through training and trial experience to be appointed to death penalty cases. He has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, including well over 130 jury trials in criminal defense matters ranging from operating while intoxicated cases to murder.  Mr. Barker has also tried personal injury cases to jury.  As a public defender in the court where all sex crimes/child molest cases were exclusively filed for many years, he estimates he has tried over 50 sex crimes cases (child molesting) to jury and has handled 100's more.  Regarding his family law practice, Mr. Barker has tried many child custody cases and high asset divorces.  He was identified as a Super Lawyer in the area of divorce in 2012.  Mr. Barker chairs the firm's Criminal Justice Practice Group and concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense, OWI, sex crimes (child molest) defenses, divorce, family law, personal injury.  He also handles various areas of civil litigation, business law formation and disputes.
