Jeffrey R. Baum B.A., LL.B.

Jeffrey was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002 and restricts his practice to personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, general liability and property claims. A particular area of Jeffrey’s focus is the complex area of accident benefits claims. Jeffrey possesses a thorough knowledge of all relevant automobile legislation, providing trusted experience in all aspects of dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.

Jeffrey is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree graduating with distinction in Political Science in 1997. In 2000, Jeffrey received his Law Degree also from the University of Western Ontario.

While at the University of Western Ontario Jeffrey was actively involved in student government including acting as Chief Prosecutor at the University’s Student Court, a member of University Student Counsel and Finance Committee. Additionally, while in law school, Jeffrey spent time working for the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario.

Prior to joining Krylov & Company, Jeffrey acted as a lawyer for a variety of insurance companies in the areas of personal injury claims, accident benefits and property claims. As a result of this experience, Jeffrey has an understanding and knowledge of how the insurance company and their lawyers think and act. Jeffrey utilizes these skills fighting on his client’s behalf either through negotiated settlement or if necessary trial, to maximize results for his clients.

Jeffrey has appeared before various levels of court and administrative tribunals including the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, where he has acted for both plaintiffs and defendants. 

Jeffrey is a member in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada.
