Lori Blackwell was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received her undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. Ms. Blackwell received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in December of 2007 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas the immediately following May. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, Houston Bar Association (Family Law Section Member), Texas Young Lawyers Association, and Houston Young Lawyers Association. Ms. Blackwell practices primarily in the areas of family law, including divorce, adoptions, paternity, child custody modifications, spousal support/ alimony and child support and property enforcement, protective orders and general civil litigation.
