Jennifer E. Byrne joined Grunyk & Associates, P.C. in January of 2013. Prior to joining the firm., Jennifer began her career at family law firm located in Tinley Park, Illinois where she gained experience in the areas of divorce, custody, child support, maintenance, visitation, domestic violence, paternity, financial matters, and post-decree issues.
Jennifer received her Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2006 and her Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Family Law from DePaul University College of Law in 2010. As a law student, Jennifer gained litigation experience as law clerk for the Cook County Public Defender’s Office and also as a licensed Student Advocate for the DePaul Family Law Clinical program. She was also the recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Service for having completed over 100 hours of pro bono service.
In 2010, Jennifer became a Certified Mediator through the Center for Conflict Resolution. She has also volunteered as a Supervising Attorney for DePaul University’s Domestic Violence Courthouse Project supervising law students as they assist pro se litigants in filing for orders of protection. Jennifer is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, the Women's Bar Association, the Will County Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association.
