Brittiny Carter was in her first year of law practice when she met veteran Tacoma family law attorney Michael Scholl at a local bar association function. Michael recalls that, from his perspective, that meeting was professional love at first sight. So impressed was Michael with Brittiny's professionalism and personality that he quickly became determined to persuade her to join Scholl Law Firm, P.S. as an associate attorney. I knew immediately I had found the right young lawyer to not only practice law with on a day-to-day basis, but to be instrumental in shaping this firm's future, Michael recalls.

Brittiny has a brilliant mind, a commitment to professional excellence, an endearing personality, and a heart of pure gold, Michael says. Our clients love her; our staff loves her; and I continue to receive compliments from professional colleagues about my good fortune in recruiting such an exceptional associate for my family law practice.

Brittiny enjoys practicing family law because she genuinely cares about helping her clients through one of the most difficult parts of their lives.  Always sensitive to her clients' emotional turmoil and distress, Brittiny offers a caring and intelligent approach to family law resolution. Brittiny works closely with her clients to find practical and constructive solutions to complex problems that may initially seem insurmountable. With her legal skills, affable personality, and abiding commitment to serving others, Brittiny is adept at keeping her clients focused as she skillfully guides them through the turbulent waters of the legal process to help them achieve a resolution to life-altering problems.

Brittiny earned her Juris Doctor degree at Seattle University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, Brittiny participated in the Ronald L. Peterson Law Clinic, providing legal services for clients who could not afford legal representation and needed assistance navigating the complex legal system. Brittiny also volunteered at Seattle University's Cross Cultural Family Law Clinic, helping protect the legal interests of those who would not otherwise be able to assert them.

Brittiny is a member of Washington Women Lawyers, the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association, and the Washington State Bar Association. She is actively involved with both the Young Lawyers and Family Law sections of the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Associations.  Prior to attending law school, Brittiny graduated summa cum laude from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurial Leadership and a minor in Spanish.

Brittiny is from Montana, but loves living in the Pacific Northwest, where she enjoys hiking, camping, running, and spending time outdoors with her Golden Retriever, Ellie.
