Tyler E. Chapman joined the firm in 2001 and became a partner in 2008. He has a general litigation practice with a focus on commercial and real estate-related litigation. His cases frequently involve disputes relating to the sale, acquisition and development of real estate as well as disputes over easements and other property rights. Tyler also specializes in landlord-tenant disputes and construction defect litigation. He also handles cases involving litigation over First Amendment issues, non-competition agreements, and closely-held corporations.
Tyler Chapman graduated from Harvard College in 1990 and received his Ed. M. from Harvard's Graduate School of Education in 1994. He graduated cum laude from Boston University School of Law in 1997 where he was a Note Editor for the Boston University Law Review. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, the Real Estate Bar Association, and the Urban Land Institute. He also serves on the boards of The Harvard Lampoon, Inc. and is a past board member of Camp Dudley, Y.M.C.A. He is also a graduate of the LEADBoston class of 2005.
