Katie was born and raised in the Appleton City, Missouri area, where she attended Appleton City Public Schools until her graduation in 2004. After graduating from high school, Katie attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, summa cum laude. Katie received her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law where she served as Note and Comment Editor of the UMKC Law Review. Katie and her husband Tyler currently reside in the Appleton City, Missouri area where Katie serves an Associate at Collins & Jones, P.C. She is also involved as a leader in several non-profit organizations and community activities.
