Michelle Frank, who is both a Tax Attorney and Certified Public Accountant, focuses her practice on Tax Planning and Trusts and Estates.

Michelle Frank's dual certifications and her love for problem-solving make her especially well suited for the work she has chosen. Besides estate and income tax planning, her responsibilities include Surrogates' Court filings and tax compliance for trusts, estates, individuals, S corporations, partnerships and Limited Liability Companies. "Mastery of both disciplines gives me greater ability, and flexibility, in helping people maximize tax efficiency," says Michelle.

"When I sit down with clients, my top priority is to make sure that I get to know them and completely understand their goals. Only then can I successfully tailor a strategy to achieve these goals. We don't use a one-size-fits-all approach. We formulate a custom estate plan for each client based on his or her needs. We resolve our clients' problems with flexible trust arrangements and other strategic planning. Each client gets an individual plan and individual attention, which does not happen at many other firms," says Michelle.

Before joining the Law Offices of Hugh Janow, Michelle Frank gained valuable experience in the Tax, Trusts, and Estate Planning Department of Seward & Kissel, a distinguished New York law firm. Her accounting skills were honed at two leading firms, Ernst & Young and, in London, Touche Ross, where she specialized in international and expatriate taxation.

Michelle Frank holds three postgraduate degrees from Fordham University: a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, a Masters of Science degree in Taxation, and a Juris Doctor. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brandeis University. She is admitted to practice in the states of New York and Connecticut. Active in her community, Michelle does volunteer work for a number of local organizations including the Solomon Schechter School of Westchester and the Jewish Community Center of Tarrytown, for which she is a Board Member.  Michelle is a member of the Step Oranization.
