Matthew C. Friedman is a native of the Chicago area and he is a graduate of the DePaul University College of Law. He has handled hundreds of civil cases, many involving catastrophic injuries, resulting in settlements or awards in the millions of dollars. These include the following types of cases: medical malpractice, automobile negligence, products liability, construction negligence, premises liability, lead poisoning and civil rights, amongst others. Matt has tried cases in state and federal court, and he has argued a recent appeal before the Appellate Court.

Matt founded the law firm of Matthew C. Friedman & Associates, P.C. in 1996 for the exclusive purpose of representing clients with personal injury claims. Matt concentrates in the following areas of personal injury litigation: medical malpractice, automobile accidents, premises liability, product liability, construction accidents, wrongful death and worker's compensation.

Matt is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America and Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He also serves as an arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County Mandatory Arbitration.

The settlements and verdicts Matt has obtained for his clients include a settlement in a medical malpractice claim for $4.5 million dollars and a verdict in a medical malpractice claim for $1.5 million dollars. Matt also represents clients with smaller claims.
