Eli Economou graduated from Whittier Law School in 2008 in the top 10% of his class, earning him Magna Cum Laude honors. While attending Whittier, Eli served as the Lead Articles Editor of the Whittier Law Review. Eli was also the proud recipient of both the General Merit Scholarship and the Dean's List Scholarship recognizing outstanding academic achievement. During his time in law school, he was also the recipient of 7 separate CALI Academic Honor Awards, recognizing the top achievement in individual classes.

Eli has had two published works with the Whittier Law Review and the Whittier Journal of Child and Family Advocacy. His article Missing The Forrest for the Trees explored a US Supreme Court case where an individual was not allowed to plead insanity due to a state not allowing the defense, and the individual rights ramifications of that decision. His article What About The Family explored physician assisted suicide in California through the lens of the medical and legal communities, but also examining the family perspective of the issue and the individual rights ramifications of current and potential legislation on the subject. In both articles, Eli advocated an approach which took the side of protection of individual rights and liberties, a concept he feels must be protected.

Eli has extensive previous legal experience clerking for the Legal Aide Society of Orange County, Judge James R. Dabney of the Los Angeles Superior Court, and 2 years clerking for Augustin Egelsee.

Upon graduation from Whittier Law School, and passage of the CA Bar Examination in May 2009, Eli was hired as an associate attorney with Augustin Egelsee. During his time as an attorney, Eli has proven a true asset to the firm, settling multiple cases with a variety of school districts on a variety of educational issues. Eli has shown a tenacity for gaining appropriate educational services for his clients throughout his tenure with Augustin Egelsee, handling each of his cases with the time and attention of a seasoned attorney.
