Patricia M. Cruz has been practicing with Ventura, Ribeiro & Smith since 2012, where she currently concentrates in Personal Injury Civil Litigation, exclusively representing injured plaintiffs. Attorney Cruz was admitted to the State of Connecticut Superior Court in 2009. She received her undergraduate teaching degree from the Catholic University of Portugal in 2004. Attorney Cruz graduated cum laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she completed her law degree in two years and where she has been featured in their Alumni Success Stories.

Attorney Cruz is a member of the American Association for Justice and serves on its Board of Governors. She serves on the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association Board of Governors and is a member of that association. Attorney Cruz is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the National Latino Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Danbury Bar Association, and the Portuguese Bar Association of Connecticut.

Attorney Cruz has received the honor of being named one of the "Top 40 under 40" by the National Trial Lawyers Association. The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40 is by invitation only and is extended exclusively to those individuals who exemplify superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership as a young lawyer under the age of 40.

Attorney Cruz has recently been nominated a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers. Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. They are instructed to nominate lawyers they have personally observed in action whether as opposing counsel or co-counsel, or through other firsthand courtroom observation. The lawyers are ranked by point totals and those with the highest point totals are named to the Rising Stars list. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to the list.
