TERENCE J. RICAFORTE was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Terence’s family has resided in Bay Ridge for over fifty years. He graduated from St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Msgr. Farrell High School, Manhattan College and New York Law School. During law school, Terence worked full-time, while attending evening classes. During his first two years of law school, he worked for the New York Law Department as a Paralegal. He worked in the Special Federal Litigation Division and later transferred to the Tax and Bankruptcy Division. After two years, at the law Department, he accepted a position as a Paralegal with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, which coincided with his final two years of law school. Upon graduation from law school, he accepted a position with the Miami State Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State Attorney. For two years, Mr. Ricaforte prosecuted felony and misdemeanor crimes. He has since, returned home to Bay Ridge to be closer to family and friends. He is a Mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program, and fundraising for the American Heart Association.
