Michael J. Hackett provides service to both Mt. Pleasant and Cheboygan offices. His practice includes personal injury, contract litigation, criminal defense, real estate, and business law. He is a 1975 graduate of Detroit College of Law and a 1971 graduate of Central Michigan University. He is a member of the Michigan Bar Association, Criminal Defense Attorneys Association of Michigan, and Michigan Association for Justice, formerly known as Michigan Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Hackett has served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan. He was elected the Cheboygan County Prosecutor in 1977 and re-elected for a second term in 1981.
