Eric Schlapak grew up in Baldwinville, MA, graduating from Narragansett Regional High School in 1983. He was fortunate to have a large extended family in town. His grandfather was one of the initial employees of a local paper mill, working in some capacity into his 80's. Eric's father spent most of his professional career at the mill and Eric worked summers there to help pay his way through college. He values the concepts of employment and education, and realizes what they mean to a family.
After graduating from Bates College in 1987, Eric returned to his roots and was the Sports Editor at the local newspaper for three years. He then earned his Master's Degree in Education from Lesley College and spent 15 years as a public school teacher in North Hampton, NH . During his teaching career, he was not content to stagnate as a teacher. He soon became a leader in curriculum development and traveled to schools around New England as an educational consultant.
While teaching, Eric attended Massachusetts School of Law, clerking with juvenile attorney William Morse of Lowell, MA . During this clerkship, Eric assisted Attorney Morse on cases that involved educational advocacy. Eric licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and New Hampshire . He has been with Nary, Norris & Schlapak, P.A. since the spring of 2007.
