Katz, Charles D.

Charles D. Katz is a Partner in the Chicago office primarily practicing in the area of public finance law. He is a member of our Banking and Finance Industry Group and the Transactional Practice Group.

Mr. Katz has over 25 years experience in public finance with a particular emphasis on tax law applicable to tax-exempt financings. In addition to his experience as bond counsel, Mr. Katz's practice includes significant emphasis on the federal tax aspects of public finance transactions, including arbitrage rebate, private use and other tax analysis as well as serving as counsel for bond audits by the IRS. He has served as counsel on a broad spectrum of transactions, including general obligation and industrial development revenue bonds, single and multifamily housing bonds, health care facilities, transportation, public utilities, solid waste and sewer financings, and higher education and other non-profit financings.
