I was born and raised in Charlotte, and I have been practicing law for thirty-one years, and my practice is devoted to civil litigation. I handle insurance defense, insurance fraud, bad faith, insurance coverage disputes, personal injury, medical malpractice and construction litigation and estate litigation. I have tried in excess of 500 cases to a verdict, and I have extensive appellate experience as well. For the past twenty years, I have regularly taught continuing education classes for the legal profession, law enforcement and the insurance industry on a variety of topics, including but not limited to arson, spoliation of evidence in fire investigations, insurance fraud, bad faith, insurance coverage, defending low impact claims, and defending closed head injury claims. I graduated from Davidson College with a B,A, in Economics, and attended Wake Forest Law School.
