Meserve, Christina A.

Chris has been practicing family law in Thurston County since 1979 and has handled literally thousands of family law cases in that time.

Chris is the only attorney in Thurston County to have been elected as a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a national organization dedicated to promoting excellence in the field of matrimonial law. She is the 20th AAML member in Washington State.

She is also the only local attorney to be board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, which recognizes expertise in family law litigation.

In addition to her practice, Chris has been active in bar association activities. She is a former chair of the Washington State Bar Association Judicial Recommendation Committee and a former member of the Washington State Bar Association Character and Fitness Committee. She was the only family law attorney to serve on the Joint Task Force on Lawyer Discipline. She is a former president of the statewide Washington Women Lawyers Organization, a former president of the Thurston County Bar Association, and was the 1996 recipient of the Daniel Bigelow Award in recognition of her service to the community and to the legal profession. She served as a member of the Board of Trustees of The Evergreen State College, appointed by Governor Gardner in 1990 and reappointed by Governor Lowry in 1992.
