Morton, George B.

Jared is an associate practicing in the firm's litigation section and is licensed in both Texas and New Mexico.  Prior to attending law school, Jared taught special education and coached football, basketball, track and field, and soccer. Jared assists clients in defending and pursuing actions involving Business disputes, Oil and Gas disputes, Employment and Labor issues, and Personal Injury.  In addition, Jared assists senior litigation attorneys with research, the drafting of pleadings and discovery, and the daily handling of matters involving a variety of complex oil and gas litigation matters, employment and labor claims, debt collections, contract disputes, and a variety of other civil matters.

AREAS OF CONCENTRATION 

Personal Injury and Insurance Defense

Jared devotes a significant portion of his time working on personal injury and insurance defense cases. He works with various insurance companies and their insureds with regard to discovery issues and claims investigation.

General Civil Litigation

Jared also works on various litigation issues such as oil and gas litigation in addition to other general civil litigation cases. In addition, Jared works on a number of private and public employment disputes as well as defending government entities.

Commercial Litigation

Jared has represented various companies in litigating commercial and contractual disputes including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, commercial torts, fraud and collection matters.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Jared is a member of several legal organizations in the community in addition to serving as a Board Member of Casa de Amigos since 2011.
