Nelson, Shawn

Shiva Nagaraj is a senior associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Appellate and Supreme Court Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2009.

Past Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Nagaraj served as a Bristow Fellow in the Office of the Solicitor General at the Department of Justice. He prepared briefs in opposition to certiorari in the Supreme Court, briefed an appeal in the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and argued before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
