Aimee L. Ezzell graduated from Wake Forest University summa cum laude with Honors in English in 1995.  After working as a litigation paralegal at Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C., Aimee attended Yale Law School, where she participated in a legal clinic devoted to advocacy for women and children.  Following graduation in 2001, Aimee completed a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Rosemary Barkett of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.  After practicing law in San Francisco, California, Aimee returned to her home-state of North Carolina.  She is Of Counsel with Fletcher, Ray & Satterfield, L.L.P., where she divides her practice between collaborative family law, mediation, commercial and civil litigation, land use and zoning law, and banking law.  Aimee is certified as a superior court and family financial mediator by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission.  She is licensed to practice in North Carolina, New York and California.

In addition to being a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) and the North Carolina Association of Collaborative Divorce Professionals (NCACDP), Aimee is a founding member and president of Coastal Collaborative Colleagues, a collaborative law practice group in Wilmington, North Carolina committed to providing an alternative to the traditional adversarial court process for resolving divorce and family law disputes.  Aimee also serves on the board of the ADR Center, Inc., a non-profit in Wilmington, North Carolina that strives to advance the understanding and use of voluntary mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution in the Cape Fear Region of North Carolina.
