Michael Peterson has been practicing law in Colorado since 1979. He began his law career with a clerkship with the Chief Judge of the US District Court in Denver,CO. After this clerkship, Mr. Peterson joined a law firm in Denver where he had a very active and successful litigation practice. In 1982, he moved to the Fort Collins area and eventually relocated his practice to Larimer County. Mr. Peterson began practicing domestic law in 1987, and his law practice has been exclusively family law litigation for over twenty (20) years. This includes dissolution of marriage (“divorce”) cases, parental responsibilities (“custody” and “visitation”) cases, relocation cases, and child support collection, as well as other family law related issues.
