Ratcliffe, J. Richard

Christine is a partner in the firm's Creditors' Rights, Bankruptcy and Reorganization Group where she focuses her practice on creditors' rights, bankruptcy and business restructuring.

Christine has significant experience in bankruptcy and pre-bankruptcy workout matters. She frequently represents traditional and non-traditional lenders, commercial landlords, court appointed trustees, Chapter 11 debtors and creditors' committees. She is active in the legal community as a frequent speaker on bankruptcy-related topics.  Christine also serves on the Board of Managers of her local YMCA, where she, her husband and their two young sons are members. She was honored with Worcester Business Journal's "40 under Forty" award in 2006. Christine has been named a Massachusetts "Super Lawyer" by Boston magazine and Law & Politics every year since 2008.

In 2011, Christine became a member of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst Economic Alumni Advisory Board.

Representative Matters

• Represented numerous commercial landlords in national retail bankruptcy proceedings including Linens 'N Things, Hollywood Video, Buffet Holdings and Alpha Omega Jewelers
• Represented numerous institutional lenders regarding defaulted loans in pre-bankruptcy workouts
• Represented trustees and other estate fiduciaries in connection with the liquidation of assets and the resolution of claims
• Represented Chapter 7 trustees in connection with retirement plan terminations in bankruptcy liquidation proceedings
