James Sayegh devotes the majority of his practice to Criminal Defense and the representation of individuals facing criminal prosecution at the State and local level for violations including, but not limited to, Drug Crimes, Firearms / Weapon Charges, Violent Crimes, Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence (Restraining Orders), White Collar Crimes, Burglary, Theft and Other Property Crimes. In addition to representing adults charged with indictable offenses, Mr. Sayegh represents juveniles charged with delinquency in Family Court for offenses ranging from possession and / or distribution of controlled dangerous substances to aggravated assault and other serious offenses. No stranger to the municipal courts of New Jersey, Mr. Sayegh also represents individuals charged with drunk driving, serious traffic offenses and disorderly persons offenses. In addition to his Criminal Defense and Municipal Court Practice, Mr. Sayegh also represents individuals in immigration matters ranging from family sponsored immigration visas to removal / deportation proceedings.


A New Jersey native, Mr. Sayegh received his bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, in Political Science at Seton Hall University. In recognition of academic excellence in the field of Political Science, he was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science Honor Society) as a junior and received the Political Science Honor's Citation upon graduation. Having maintained a perfect cumulative GPA of 4.0 throughout all four years, Mr. Sayegh also had the honor of representing the College of Arts and Sciences as its Valedictorian. In addition to academic accomplishments, Mr. Sayegh was also a member and president of the Iota Rho chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity at Seton Hall University.


Mr. Sayegh received his law degree from St. John's University School of Law in Jamaica, NY and is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey. Prior to Joining Feeley & Sayegh, LLC, Mr. Sayegh was an associate at one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in New Jersey and most recently operated a solo law practice focused primarily on criminal defense and the representation of those charged with drunk driving offenses.
