Tyler represents injured patients and their families in medical malpractice claims against hospitals and physicians. He spent the first 14 years of his legal career defending health care providers in medical malpractice cases throughout South Texas. Tyler has extensive experience and familiarity with how insurance companies defend and evaluate cases. In short, he knows the tricks, traps and pitfalls used by health care providers to escape legal responsibility when they negligently cause injuries or death to patients. Now Tyler has refocused his legal practice and is dedicated to representing injured patients and their families. He uses his extensive knowledge and experience in combining law and medicine to navigate his clients through the many obstacles that stand between an injured patient and recovery for those injuries. He is familiar with the complex statutes put in place by the Texas Legislature and insurance company lobbyists to shield hospitals and physicians from legal liability even when medical negligence occurs. Tyler has successfully completed significant jury trials in San Antonio, Laredo, Corpus Christi, Eagle Pass, Edinburg, Brownsville, and other venues throughout South Texas. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer annually since 2008, and has been named one of San Antonio's Best Lawyers in medical malpractice by S.A. Scene magazine.
