G. Blaine Schwabe, III was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on October 10, 1947. Mr.
Schwabe graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.B.A. in 1970 and a
J.D. in 1974. He is a member of the Order of the Coif, and while at the
University of Oklahoma College of Law served as an Editor of the Oklahoma Law
Review. Mr. Schwabe has also served as Adjunct Professor of Law at the
Oklahoma City University College of Law and as special lecturer in law at the
University of Oklahoma College of Law. Mr. Schwabe is a Fellow of the American
College of Bankruptcy (Fellows Class 3) and has been included in The Best
Lawyers in America since 1987. He is a member of the Secured Creditors and
Chapter 11 Subcommittees of the Business Bankruptcy Committee, American Bar
Association Section of Business Law, a member of the American Bankruptcy
Institute, a member of the Commercial Law League, serves as a Director and
past-Chairman of the Bankruptcy and Reorganization Section of the Oklahoma Bar
Association and on the Tenth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel Local Rules
Committee. Mr. Schwabe's practice is concentrated in business litigation,
commercial law, telecommunications law, debtor-creditor relations, insolvency
and bankruptcy law, and insurance company insolvency. In addition to being a
member of the bar in Oklahoma, of all Oklahoma federal district courts and the
United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, Mr. Schwabe is licensed to
practice before the United States Supreme Court and in the State of Maine.
