Lori Sinanyan provides sophisticated business advisory and crisis management services to regional and national clients. Her practice focuses on protecting and advancing the interests of financially troubled companies, parties seeking to invest in debtors or acquire distressed assets, and creditors.

On the transactional side, Lori has counseled on restructuring planning, distressed sales and acquisitions, corporate governance, fiduciary duties, contract interpretation, and negotiating and preparing reorganization plans. Lori's litigation experience includes defending clients in contract disputes, claims objections, avoidance actions, and other contested matters.

Creditor representations include a major movie studio in various contract negotiations, the Daughters of Charity in an acquisition of a nonprofit hospital in bankruptcy, and an ad hoc committee of noteholders in a multibillion casino restructuring.

Prior to joining Jones Day, she represented chapter 11 debtors Leiner Health Products, a vitamins and supplements manufacturer; W. R. Grace & Co., a multinational chemical supply corporation; Calpine Corporation, one of the largest power generation companies; Solutia, a multinational manufacturer of high-performance chemical-based materials; Cable & Wireless (USA), a national telecommunications company; Centis, a designer/manufacturer of consumable office, storage, and HR products; and Union Acceptance Corporation, a specialized finance company of automobile securitizations. She also has represented Morgan Creek Productions, an independent film production company; Greenwich Capital Markets, a leading financial company; and chapter 11 trustees in Ritter Ranch Dvlpt. and DIVA Systems.
