Theisen, Steven H.

Michael Templeton's practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters, including cases involving contract disputes, construction, debt restructuring, lender liability, energy regulation, insurance, and mass tort litigation. He has served as litigation counsel in a number of bankruptcy cases and restructuring proceedings and also has represented clients in toxic tort litigation, product liability cases, and in matters involving environmental claims.

Michael is currently representing Texas Instruments Incorporated in defending personal injury claims that workplace exposures to chemicals in semiconductor manufacturing facilities allegedly caused birth defects in the offspring of employees. He also represents International Business Machines Corporation in defending personal injury, property damage, and medical monitoring claims relating to allegations of groundwater contamination and vapor intrusion.  He previously represented IBM at the trial and appellate levels in IBM's defense of claims by its employees that workplace exposures caused cancer and other diseases and caused birth defects in employees' offspring.  Michael was recently involved in litigation matters in connection with the chapter 11 bankruptcy case of a major supplier in the automotive industry.  Other recent representations include Mitsubishi Corporation in litigation arising out of a power plant facility construction project and Nextel Communications in litigation matters in connection with its merger with Sprint.

Michael is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association.
