Ms. Thomson has been an exclusive family law attorney in practice in the Orange County area for over thirteen  years. Ms. Thomson holds a Bachelor's Degree from California State University, Long Beach, a Master's Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Juris Doctor from Western State University.

Ms. Thomson is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association and served on numerous seats for the Family Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association including President in 2010.  Also, Ms. Thomson is an active member in the legal community and is an Associate Member of the Robert A. Banyard Inn of Court, an organization of prominent lawyers, judges and Appellate Court Justices. Also, Ms. Thomson reads, writes and speaks Spanish fluently.
