Krystal L. Vokins joined the firm in October 2012 as a full Partner. Prior to joining the firm, Krystal was a research attorney for all of the criminal division judges of the Johnson County, Kansas District Court. In this position, she researched and provided counsel to the criminal division judges on complex legal issues in more than 400 cases. The cases she participated in involved nearly every crime in Kansas, ranging from DUI's to first degree murder. While she was in this position, the judges of the Johnson County District Court relied on her to provide the correct legal analysis for a particular case and to explain and interpret the arguments that both the defense and prosecution made. Krystal brings her extensive experience working for judges to her criminal defense practice.
Krystal's practice extends beyond her understanding of every area of criminal law, but also other areas, including areas such as Chapter 58 trusts, Chapter 60 civil actions, Chapter 61 limited actions, Kansas Consumer Protection Act, and child in need of care.
