Glen Weitzer is a partner in our Intellectual Property Practice Group, focusing on patent prosecution for the mechanical arts including refrigeration systems, air conditioning systems, vacuum cleaners, small internal-combustion engines, motorcycle engines, and motorcycles and related accessories. Mr. Weitzer works directly with clients to develop meaningful and beneficial U.S. and foreign patent strategies. Mr. Weitzer's U.S. experience includes executing focused patent searches, providing patentability opinions, and drafting and prosecuting patent applications. Mr. Weitzer is proficient in utilizing the Patent Cooperation Treaty for cost effective international patent filings and has developed a trusted relationship with foreign counsel to more efficiently prosecute clients' patent applications in foreign countries.
In addition, Mr. Weitzer's practice includes counseling clients with respect to the enforcement of their patents and the avoidance of their competitor's patents. In this regard, Mr. Weitzer is skilled at monitoring competitor patent activity and drafting opinion letters arguing non-infringement and invalidity. Mr. Weitzer's services also extend to drafting intellectual property agreements such as license agreements, confidentiality agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and joint-development agreements.
