Michelle was born in St. Louis, Missouri and attended Southern Illinois University-Carbondale on a field hockey scholarship. She was a University Scholar and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree with High Honors in 1980. Michelle attended Washington University School of Law and obtained a Juris Doctorate degree in 1983. She was also honored as a member of The Order of the Barristers. Michelle served as an Assistant State's Attorney in the McHenry County State's Attorney's office from 1984 until 1993. Michelle entered private practice in 1993 as an associate attorney with a small firm and in 1998 partnered with another associate to form their own firm in Island Lake. Michelle has been the Owner/President of Wiejaczka Law, P.C. since 2006 at the current location in Hawthorn Woods, Illinois.
