Rick Maggio practices in the areas of corporate, securities, project development/finance, and insurance law, with a focus on Latin American transactions. At the start of his career he practiced in Mexico City.
Rick's practice includes the representation of foreign companies in U.S. acquisitions and securities offerings and of U.S. and foreign companies in Latin American transactions relating to joint ventures, infrastructure development projects (including waste water treatment, airport expansion, port development, hydrocarbon development and transportation, and independent power projects), loan transactions (secured and unsecured), real property acquisition and development, distribution agreements, insurance and managed health care, operating concessions, mergers and acquisitions (including through privatizations), and corporate and asset divestitures.
Rick frequently lectures on Latin American topics and has published several articles in the Latin American Law and Business Report.
