Sarah Mazanec was born and raised in Helena, Mt. She graduated magna cum laude from Seattle University with a Bachelor of Arts in English. In 2008, she received a Masters degree in Education from Montana State University-Billings. After teaching in the Helena community, Sarah enrolled at the University of Montana School of Law. While there, she was a member of the National Moot Court team. She graduated first in her class from UM Law in 2012. She looks forward to advocating for the rights of individuals in her local community.
