Hedman, Natalie A.

Derek S. Hecht obtained his Juris Doctorate at the University of San Diego School of Law, graduating cum laude. While earning his degree, Derek was a Managing Editor for the San Diego International Law Journal, he was also an officer of the Moot Court Executive Board. As a member of the school's Moot Court program, Derek won the Vanderbilt National First Amendment Moot Court competition.

Prior to joining the firm, Derek served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Barbara L. Major and the Honorable Mitchell D. Dembin in the Southern District of California.

Derek is an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he teaches law students in the field of appellate advocacy and conducts training sessions on brief writing and oral argument skills. Derek's practice includes professional liability and business litigation matters.
