Mr. McNamara graduated summa cum laude from the University at Albany in 2006 with a B.A. in History before completing a joint degree program with Albany Law School and Albany Medical College. Upon completion of the program in 2009, Mr. McNamara graduated cum laude from Albany Law School with a J.D. and from Albany Medical College with an M.S. in Bioethics. While attending Albany Law School, Mr. McNamara was a law clerk at a Capital District area law firm and also worked at both the Department of Motor Vehicles Traffic Appeals Board and the Office of the New York State Medicaid Inspector General.

Mr. McNamara has argued before the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, 3rd Department and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He has engaged in various facets of both criminal and civil litigation and represented clients at both administrative hearings and court proceedings in both local and county level courts.

Mr. McNamara is admitted to practice law in all New York State Courts as well as the United States District Court for the Northern district. He is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association as well as the NYSBA Young Lawyers Committee.

Mr. McNamara joined the law firm of Thuillez, Ford, Gold, Butler & Young in 2012. He concentrates his practice in the areas of medical malpractice defense, personal injury litigation defense, insurance defense, and mental hygiene law.
